The Bangladesh Competition Commission hosted a validation workshop on June 26, 2024, to discuss the report on the market for Bangladeshi drugs used in colon cancer disease.

To implement Section 8 (Ja) of the Competition Act, 2012, the Bangladesh Competition Commission took steps to carry out survey work on 6 products in the fiscal year 2023-2024. 

The commission formed a 3-member study team to conduct a market study of the drugs used in colon cancer disease in Bangladesh out of 6 products. In this context, a validation workshop was held at the Commission's conference room on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, to verify and analyze the submitted report of the survey team. 

Pradeep Ranjan Chakraborty, chairperson of the Competition Commission of Bangladesh (CCB), was the chief guest at the valediction workshop. Commission member Saudagar Mustafizur Rahman presided over the meeting. 

Commission member Md Hafizur Rahman was the chief guest at the event, which was also attended by National Institute of Preventive and Social Medicine (NIPSOM) Director Dr. Mohammad Ismail and other Commission officers. 

Deputy Director of the Commission Billal Hossain Khan presented the PowerPoint report at the validation workshop.
